We've been given the chance to host some private sessions with the one, and only, Brian Tichy.
Brian has toured/recorded and/or performed with Whitesnake, Queensryche, Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Foreigner, Ozzy Osbourne, Billy Idol, Velvet Revolver, Steven Tyler/Joe Perry, Slash, Zakk Wylde, Don Felder, Michael Schenker, Lynch Mob, Glenn Hughes, Vinnie Moore, Seether, and plays guitar in his own band, S.U.N., with Sass Jordan. He is also the creator of the Bonzo Bash and is a member of a KISS tribute band called A.L.I.V.E. with Rex from Pantera, and Bumblefoot from Guns n' Roses.
Not only is he a bona fide rocker, he also has skills and credentials. He is a Berklee School of Music graduate, was voted #5 in Modern Drummer's Rock Drummer category in the 2012 readers poll, as well as #5 on That Metal Show's best rock drummers of all time.
Lessons will be based on what the student wants to accomplish but giving them a firm grasp on what they may need to study in order to achieve the results they are striving for. This can range from sticking exercises and warm up routines to four way coordination and polyrhythms. Brian can cover all styles of music, from basic rock drumming to progressive music and jazz.. For advanced students, he can also work on studio recording, studio tuning, how to prepare for world touring and performing in front of large audiences.
