Line 6 HD147 Guitar Amp Head The HD147 isn't just another guitar amp. It's evolution, baby.
Why else would we stick obscene tone from sparkly-clean to earth-shattering-chunk and wrap it around 300 watts...The HD147 cuts through any band with power and clarity.
When we introduced our Insane custom model in 1996, we redefined how much distortion you could squeeze out of a single piece of gear. Now we've got 14 custom models like Smash, Big Bottom, Octone, Purge, and Agro that will send you into high-gain overload. But, we didn't stop there. We added models based on* boutique heads like the Diezel VH4 and Herbert, Peavey® 5150, Cornford mk50h, Marshall® Silver Jubilee and JCM2000, and Bogner Extacy and Ubershall.

How loud is it?
The HD147 pushes 300 Watts Stereo into 4,8 or 16 ohm cabinets. It is blistering loud. That would be the same volume as two 100W Tube heads.
Why does it need so much power?
Lots of power = lots of headroom which buys you tons of attack and excellent response. Plus, lots of headroom also means your clean sounds will stay clean even at loud levels.
